TWA Pilot Wings

Post Image

I was repairing a rather devastated front door stained glass panel. The aftermath of a teenage party gone wild during the parents absence. I am always in need for repairs due, in large part to, teenagers and large pets. Anyway, the father happened to observe, as I was preparing to leave after a successful repair, my noticing some TWA pilot’s wings just lying on an entry table. He told me that he was a retired TWA pilot and could I possibly make a replica of his wings in stained glass as a memento of his history with the world famous airlines.

He was a very happy client when I produced the above piece. The stained glass panel below the “wings” pin is the same as the above panel with daylight.
